Happy Easter...

Oh, it has been a while....I have all these wonderful things I'd like to write about but when it comes to putting them on here, I can't seem to.

Well, just an update will do I suppose :) God is gracious and mighty first and foremost! I am feeling well and growing by the minute! Our sweet boy will be arriving anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks (our other 3 were two and three weeks early...yes, dear ladies I can't imagine going to 4o weeks and plus-oh my!) I've entered into the nesting stage-lovely! But it is combined with the, "I want to just sit here" stage as well...much prayer I say!

Our youngest will be 5 next weekend, it is hard to believe that he will be that big already and that it has been that long since we've had a baby in the house! I'm one to admit I've been a bit nervous lately of the impending delivery, like it's my first time, except I know (for the most part) what to expect. Oh, but again I bring this to our precious Lord and ask for grace and peace...as He tells us not to be anxious or to worry :)

Church is going well. We're growing which is an amazing thing to see. I believe it is happening slowly and cautiously, as it should. Please be in prayer for our little church as we are the process of searching for our next pastor. Our interim pastor and his wife are a precious family and they have been a blessing in this time of in between. Continued prayer for our last pastor and his precious family, for good health, peace and the joy of the Lord upon them and His leading as to the new season they've entered. Finally, for reconciliation and forgiveness between those who the Lord needs there to be (isn't that all of us I might say, in one way or another)...that there might be a release from the things of the past...thank you dear friends....:)

The Lord has been continuing to work on my heart-praise Him! As hormonal as I am, He still continues to show me my heart (wow, and I'm actually asking Him to show me-that's probably half the battle!) and His grace allows me the chance to ask for forgiveness and to hopefully grow closer to Him. I am currently part of a bible study at church that is based on the book, "You Can Be the Wife of a Happy Husband" by Darien Cooper (I think this is the author, but I'm truly too lazy to get up and check-sorry!) It is a lovely book and I'm only on chapter 4 but it is speaking greatly to my heart simply as a woman and a child of God. Her words are gentle...should I say she shares God's words to us through the scriptures, which are gentle to us, reminding us of the love of Jesus. His love is what we should receive and give freely, without expectations or reserves, without guilt, without hesitation. We are to look to the Lord to fill our needs, not to our husbands or children, parents, friends. Remembering we are all fallen and dealing with our own insecurities and "bagagge" and prayerfully seeking the Lord's will and healing, should help put into perspective that we shouldn't put others up on any sort of pedestal. No one can fill a void only meant to be filled by our heavenly Father and Creator, through the love of Jesus. It is only by asking Him to come into our hearts, admitting our sins and asking for forgiveness (He truly does love and care for you and really will help you), that healing and the filling of "that void" can begin.

As I've said before...if He can forgive me, He can forgive anyone...what a precious gift, with the resurrection of the body of Jesus and His words, "it is done," that me and you can have HOPE. All of the "things" that are such "big problems" in the world's terms are truly not to God when you can release it to the Lord and say, "God you are in control" and then let Him, by allowing Him to work and guide you, with His everlasting peace. God is not a band aid for not paying a bill or mortgage, for a desperate plea in sickness or sadness or worry. He is an everlasting Father who can give you calm in the storm, peace in the midst of the valleys, and hope for the days to come, that He will work everything out to His glory...and by His grace and mercy, give you joy, when you never thought possible.

God is good, always. I thank you, Lord for sending us a saviour, Jesus Christ. I thank you for your love and fulfilling of a promise you gave to those so many years ago...

And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name. (NLT) Romans 1:4-5

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. (NIV) John 11:25-26

After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."
So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."
(NIV)
Matthew 28:1-10

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead... (NIV) 1 Peter 1:3

Amen! Happy Easter!!!

That sounds like a great bible study! Let me know how it goes.

I can't believe the "baby" is 5! I had to read that 2 or 3 times before I realized you were talking about T and not L. Can we say- "I feel OLD"?

2021 today...

And here we are two years later. We had a vile presidential election in 2020, are still having a worldwide pandemic (Covid-19), and the voic...
