day 20 intentionally...Maine days

We are blessed by my hubby's sweet family. I love that our boys can play in the "toy corner" with toys my husband played with as a child. There is usually a game of Scrabble happening, rolling crescent rolls with J and helping Uncle P with yard work or getting the fire going.  Aunt P is usually taking pictures (a gifted photographer!) and J (family friend) is the creative and amazing chef (Shepard's pie is the big hit!) Then there is G- one busy lady!  So being able to meet for dinner is a treat. What a beautiful lady she is and a precious family she has raised.  I am grateful to be part of her family.
Our visits are always centered around a meal which is always amazing and then always followed by an ice cream buffet!  Growing up, my paternal grandparents ended dinners with ice cream so this is a sweet moment for me being able to continue the same with my in-laws.  Knowing this was our going away dinner with them was bittersweet.  Precious memories...more to come....(hopefully by plane though-I'm ALL DONE with that drive for A LONG TIME!) ;)

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 ESV

day 19 intentionally...patience

I have wonderful pictures to post of the last 4 weeks in our home.  Friends packing, building, feeding, laughing, scrubbing...our hearts were blessed.  It's funny how people can surprise you. We were helped so much more than we could've imagined.  We joke that it was so they could get us moved out of the state faster! ;)  Seriously though, for us, it was during this time we saw a different side to our friendships.  Sweet friends...you are truly family.

It has been less than a week since our big move.  The Lord has altered our plans because HE IS SO GOOD!  We made some choices that we can now see would not have been good, even though much more comfortable and by His grace He kept us on track.  Patience is the word of the day...a daily reminder He continues to give me.  Thy will be done and not my own, Father.  And yes, there is great reward in waiting on the Lord.

So for now, waiting patiently...praying for a content heart, without fear of the unknown and His strength as He leads us through with His joy.

I count it all joy...for it is...

bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Colossians 3:13 ESV

Day 18 intentionally...packing and blessed

no...this picture doesn't have anything to do with the post, just couldn't resist the hilariousness of it!
you just need to smile...
....and yes, his brothers put these on him ;)

Boxes, boxes, boxes...paint, paint, paint and more paint!

Blessed by dinners, friends helping with lifting, moving and building, friends wisking our kiddos off to the beach and then feeding us on top of it!

Blessed by the possibilities of what is and is yet to come...more than we could imagine!

Blessed most importantly by the ABUNDANT love of our Savior.

Humbled...to God alone be the Glory...

so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.Hebrews 9:28 ESV
