Gifts from the Lord...

Children are a gift from the Lord.

Doing childcare and speaking to other moms has been such an amazing experience. Hearing their struggles and then seeing the children's behavior (with and without the parent around) is so very interesting. Personally, it has been a growing experience for me. I am seeing the fruit of discipline, and sadly the lack of. I am also seeing my own children through fresh eyes and where the Lord is leading me as a mother- my weaknesses and (by His grace only) strengths. I am learning to see these other children who are with me for not more than 2 hours through the Lord's eyes. Learning patience and encouraging words, learning how to redirect attentions, and bundles of energy :) It truly is a stretching time for me, as I am having to do more than "just enough" and also trying to figure out how to "correct" children that are not my own, with consistentcy and patience. However, the most important part of this job that the Lord has spoken to my heart, "Pray for My [the Lord's] children." I've prayed for sweet ones, by the prompting of the Holy Spirit, wondering why I'm praying so feverently and the Lord then shows me just a slight hint of His "why".

Those who come into our lives, for a lifetime, a season or just a moment need our prayers. We have the most precious gift of praying to our dear Heavenly Father on their behalf. I praise and thank the Lord for those who prayed on my behalf when I hadn't yet accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. His grace and mercy was over me, even before I knew Him. I must consider this at all times, humbly knowing He is giving me the oportunity to the same for another, praying on their behalf...

Pray that you see the Lord in where you are at and that you are seeing situations through His eyes, it may give you an entire new perspective...and the peace that only He gives...

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." 2 Corinthians 12:8

God bless you!
