time to clean..

I'm not posting anything exciting other than the fact...remember how excited I was when our school room was clean back long ago...(it is in the archives of this blog somewhere with pictures)...well, I can barely enter into the room now! We started cleaning out other areas of the house and this became the dumping room to "go through later" kind of room. So now...it is time-please pray for me! :) I would very much like it to be a nursery, school room, playroom, guest room and craft room---is that possible?! All is well!

Have a blessed day-His mercies are new every morning and He gives us enough time to accomplish the things HE wants us to do. Praying we do HIS to-do list and not our own :)

His peace...

Spent too much time on the computer, kids stayed outside longer than they were supposed to, all of us ignoring what we were supposed to be doing. Checked clock, panicked at the time, day almost gone, kids didn't do lessons, laundry not done...clutter everywhere...and then the yelling begins. Upset with myself, upset with the kids lack of responsibility, my words loud but controlled (only by the grace of God), disappointment rises, baby's awake, cries ensue..uggg deep breaths needed. Jump in the shower, baby needs to be fed, I'll just be a minute, it's loud, rushed hectic, frustrated, desperate prayers, the pressure building.....
..............and then it all stops, He checks my spirit, this is what is real....sweet little one crying hysterically, cradled in my arms, against my chest...slowly calms down, I whisper words of comfort, prayers to my Father out loud and His peace envelops...we just sit until the belly is full. Calmly we all go to class, mommy explaining character, God's character, our christian family, our responsibilities, all the while the Lord checking my spirit about the same things. We arrive late but calm. Read devotional in the car while baby nurses, praying, asking for forgiveness for my own attitude and poor character training and modeling...His peace and joy envelop.

The evening continues, prepare dinner, speak with hubby, continued character training, tears, hugs, lessons, obedience, devotion and prayer, questions of baptism and His saving grace, hugs and kisses goodnight....thankful for His abundant grace and peace.....
His order gracefully taking over my chaos, because He checked my spirit, I listened, and asked for His forgiveness, prayer and worship..and He is merciful.
My heavenly Father loves, forgives and is my strength...His mercies unending, lavishing love...
I sigh...sleeping little one, three peaceful bigger ones, husband resting...
I know His peace envelops...we praise His great and mighty name...

*#3 speaks loudly to my heart-I must give of my time to glorify the Lord in teaching my children and instilling godly character. God bless you and your home...

What a beautiful psalm this is, blessings from our Lord!

A dear friend always refers to sweet things from our Lord as "love notes" from Him. Yesterday, after some time together at the store, hubby, the boys and I were sitting in the car as I fed the baby before our ride home. A thunderstorm passed by and just as amazing as that, we look over to see the most beautiful rainbow. The colors became more vibrant as we watched it grow into a full arch and then adding to His precious love note a second rainbow appeared over the first. It wasn't as bright as the first but it was most surely there. Staring at it I truly realized what a gift I was seeing. There in front of me was God's creation, pure and simple. It wasn't anything painted or created by a man, but the true colors as created by our most precious Father, vibrant, alive and real. The boys spoke of how it was created and yes, we do know why it was happening but we discussed that God is a God of order and He blesses us by inviting us to know the "why's" of certain things. This rainbow wasn't just a "scientific" happening, it was a sign from our Lord He created for Noah thousands of years ago... and for us today...a precious love note of His awesomeness...

Praying you'll look at all of His creation around you today...the sweet smiles or even crying eyes of your little ones, the hands of your hubby, the voice of your neighbor, the bird singing above, the simple blade of grass growing underfoot, the moment of quiet, fragrance of the blooming flower...see the love notes He has created for you, His awesome love, grace and goodness...

are your eyes open???

Reading this this morning...
A great reminder to the subtlties of the enemy's ways...have you closed or opened the door? I am convicted of what are we feeding our spritual health here in our home? Are we glorifying the Lord by what we hear, see and say? Sadly, I would say no. It is the little things that I tend to pass...the cartoon that "might not be okay sometimes," the sitcom that has some "questionable situations" on occasion, the movie that glorifies "the unglorifiable"...

May we search our hearts and pray for the Lord's discernment upon what we are allowing ourselves and our children to "feed on".

His mercies are new every morning and His grace and love is abundant. God bless you in your walk with Him, may the love of our precious savior, Jesus Christ be in you hearts today, remembering the sacrifice He made for all of us and the freedom that He gives to us freely when we ask. Repentance brings freedom in a life of Jesus. Admitting our sins and knowing we cannot save ourselves bring freedom. Jesus died for our sins and desires a personal relationship with us...we only need to ask Him to come into our hearts that He may live in us. It is by His strength that we can live a life of hope, healing, forgiveness and freedom. He is the way the, truth and the life.

We're so thankful!!!! Our sweet boy arrived 1 week late but the best part is he arrived on his daddy's birthday. We're so thankful for your prayers! The delivery went well and what a miraculous moment to see this precious little boy the Lord knit together in my womb. To Him be all the glory!

So on to getting into a bit of a routine and some sleep:)

patiently waiting...most of the time :)

Our sweet boy is still cozy inside:) Monday they shall induce if he hasn't arrived yet. Again, our precious Lord has His perfect timing. Continued prayers would be greatly appreciated for good health for both of us and a joyful delivery:)

Praying all is well for everyone. My devotional right now is Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest. Oh, how it blesses me. The quiet time with the Lord, though it is only a few moments in the morning (in the bathroom of all places!) truly speaks to my heart and helps me to focus on Him and His word throughout the day...precious moments of prayer all day. I have consciously started praying for my husband and children first thing before praying for others. I hope that doesn't sound too awful, the Lord just put it upon my heart how I wasn't truly praying for them wholeheartedly and consistently...we sometimes forget the goodness the Lord has placed right in front of us. Just like praying and praising earnestly when things are "good", not just when they are bad and we're on our faces.

Praying for joy and peace and His mighty goodness, for we are upon Him, the Rock, our foundation, our mighty Fortress. May you see Him in your every step and in those around you, showing the fruit of the Spirit. In Jesus most precious name, Amen.

waiting patiently and trusting...

8 days....just waiting for our sweet boy to arrive. This is a first as our other three were 3 and 2 weeks early. However, we trust in the Lord, not in ourselves-praise the Lord! So the Lord is working on me with patience and trusting in Him...the best place to be :)

Please keep us in prayer for this upcoming delivery and our precious arrival and good health, ~thank you!

...Playing Monopoly with the 5 and 6 year old...the 5 year old lands on Jail (just visiting). 6 year old says to 5 year old, "look you're telling people about Jesus!"

-The Lord is awesome! He uses all to His glory, those both in and out, all is possible with God, for He is our strength, our rock and our fortress! All through the love of Jesus Christ, our saviour!
